ATLANTA- House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) today announced that the House Helping Haiti bi-partisan fundraising event raised a total of $46,302 to benefit the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund. The event took place on Thursday, February 11th at the Georgia Railroad Freight Depot and featured special guests Brian Finneran, Coy Wire and Ovie Mughelli from the Atlanta Falcons. Former House Speaker Tom Murphy to be Honored with Portrait in State Capitol
Unveiling event will commemorate late Speaker’s 86th birthday
ATLANTA— The Georgia House of Representatives will unveil a portrait of the late Speaker Thomas B. Murphy on Wednesday, March 10th, at 10:00 a.m. in the House chamber of the Georgia State Capitol. The portrait will be on permanent loan from the Murphy family and the unveiling will commemorate the 86th anniversary of Speaker Murphy’s birth. Continue reading “
