Rep. Kim Schofield to Host Series of Virtual Events on Menstrual Equity, Period Poverty

ATLANTA – State Representative Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) will host a series of virtual events for the “Got You Covered: Period Focus Week” from October 19 – 22, 2021, via Facebook, Instagram and Zoom.   • Virtual discussion with Rep. Schofield TODAY, Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 7 p.m. via Instagram Live;
  • Virtual discussion with Rep. Schofield and Georgia STOMP on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, at 5 p.m. via Instagram Live;
  • Virtual “Candid Conversations” event with Rep. Schofield and Georgia STOMP on Thursday, October 21, 2021, at 7 p.m. via Zoom; to register for this event, please click here.

            During the virtual event on Monday, Oct. 18, Rep. Schofield will be joined by U.S. Rep. Grace Meng, New York; North Carolina State Rep. Julie Von Haefen; Washington State Rep. April Berg; Iowa State Sen. Janet Petersen; Florida State Sen. Lauren Brook; and Phillip Vander Klay, director of policy at Diaper Bank Network.

            Additionally, Rep. Schofield will be interviewed on the “Sipping Honest-Tea” podcast, which is hosted by Sarah Lim, student at Wesleyan High School in Norcross.
