Speaker Jon Burns Announces Appointments to House Study Committees

ATLANTA – Today, Speaker of the House Jon Burns (R-Newington) announced the members of two House study committees. These committees were created by legislation adopted during the 2024 session of the Georgia General Assembly.


House Study Committee on Safety and Consumer Protection in the Tree Care Industry

  • Rep. Victor Anderson – Chair (R-Cornelia)
  • Rep. Marvin Lim (D-Norcross)
  • Rep. David Huddleston (R-Roopville)
  • Rep. Jordan Ridley (R-Woodstock)
  • Rep. Bill Yearta (R-Sylvester)

Created by House Resolution 473, the House Study Committee on Safety and Consumer Protection in the Tree Care Industry will examine the safety risks and consumer protection issues including licensing, registration, and insurance requirements that impact Georgia’s tree care industry.

Created by House Resolution 1166, the House Study Committee on the Exchange, Storage, and Bond Coverage of Agricultural Products, Grain, and Livestock will examine warehouse and bonding policies associated with Georgia’s agriculture industry.
