Rep. Joseph Gullett Named Chairman of House Appropriations Subcommittee on Judicial

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Joseph Gullett (R-Dallas) as the Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Judicial.

“The judicial branch is a cornerstone of our democracy, and ensuring its strength and efficiency is a responsibility I take seriously,” said Chairman Gullet. “I am grateful for the opportunity to chair this committee and work with a dedicated team to ensure the judiciary has the resources to serve justice for all.”

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives. 

The House Appropriations Subcommittee on Judicial oversees budgetary requests from the judicial branch.

Representative Joseph Gullett represents the citizens of District 19, which includes portions of Cobb and Paulding counties. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2018 and currently serves as Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee on Judicial. He also serves on the Banks and Banking, Governmental Affairs, Insurance, Judiciary-Juvenile, Judiciary Non-Civil and Technology and Infrastructure Innovation committees.
