Rep. Robert Flournoy Sworn in, Receives Committee Assignments for the 2025-2026 Legislative Term

ATLANTA – State Representative Robert Flournoy (D-Hampton) was sworn into office as a member of the Georgia House of Representatives on Monday, January 13, 2025, marking his first day of the 2025-2026 legislative term.

“As the session begins, my focus is on providing the constituents of the House District 74 and the citizens of Georgia with services and legislation that improve their daily lives,” said Rep. Flournoy. “I’m proud and honored to be a part of that process.”

In addition to being officially sworn in, the Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named Rep. Flournoy to the Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications, State Planning and Community Affairs and State Properties committees. 

The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives. 

Representative Robert Flournoy, Jr. represents the citizens of District 74, which includes portions of Clayton and Henry counties. He was first elected to the House of Representatives in 2024 and currently serves on the Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications, State Planning and Community Affairs and State Properties committees.
