ATLANTA – State Representative Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta), joined by members of the Georgia African Legislative Caucus, will host Her Majesty Queen Olori Atuwaste III of The Kingdom of Warri, Delta State, Nigeria, on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta. During her visit, a group photo will also be taken on the South Wing Steps of the State Capitol.
The visit marks a moment of cultural and economic collaboration between Georgia and African leadership, reinforcing the shared vision of uplifting communities across the African diaspora.

Her Majesty is the CEO of We Elevate Africa: The Africa We See Initiative, a platform focused on supporting Africa’s development through innovation, leadership and strategic partnerships. Her visit to Atlanta emphasizes the relationship between Georgia and African nations in their efforts to promote discussions on economic empowerment, cultural exchange and global collaboration.
The reception will provide an opportunity to enhance connections between Georgia’s African American community and the African continent, while also exploring potential collaborations in business, education and policy initiatives.
