Rep. Kim Schofield Celebrates Goodwill of North Georgia’s 100 Years of Service with Yearlong Festivities and Launch of Loyalty Program

ATLANTA – State Representative Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) celebrates “Goodwill of North Georgia Day” on June 19, 2025, which seeks to recognize the 100th anniversary of Goodwill of North Georgia.

“Goodwill of North Georgia is more than a retail organization—it is a transformative force helping Georgians find dignity through employment and economic mobility,” said Rep. Schofield. “For 100 years, they have proven that jobs change lives and empower communities.”

Founded in 1925 in Atlanta by residents inspired by Reverend Edgar J. Helms’ model of job creation and reuse, Goodwill of North Georgia now operates 70 stores, 14 career centers, 45 donation sites and a mobile career center across 45 counties.

“When I got elected in 2018, I worked with Keith Parker, President and CEO of Goodwill of North Georgia, to open a Goodwill Donation and Career Center on Metropolitan Parkway in District 63,” said Rep. Schofield. “I am so proud that Goodwill has helped train and employ over 10,000 people in District 63.”

As part of its centennial celebration, Goodwill is also launching its first-ever Savvy Shoppers Club, a customer loyalty program offering points, discounts, birthday rewards and exclusive access to events.

The centennial festivities will begin with a celebration at Goodwill’s West End retail store, located at 888 Ralph David Abernathy Blvd SW, Atlanta, on June 19, 2025, at 1:30 p.m.
