ATLANTA – State Representatives Doreen Carter (D-Lithonia) and Angela Moore (D-Stonecrest) will join Stonecrest City Councilwomen Tara Graves and Alecia Washington for a community town hall meeting on Saturday, June 28, 2025, from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. at the Stonecrest City Hall.
This meeting seeks to foster an open dialogue about key issues impacting the City of Stonecrest community. Discussions will cover recent state legislative updates from the Georgia General Assembly, ongoing city projects, economic development initiatives and public safety.
“It is vital that the work we do at the State Capitol is directly connected to the needs of the communities we represent,” said Rep. Carter. “I look forward to this important conversation.”
“We want to ensure that every resident has the information they need about state resources and legislative changes,” said Rep. Moore. “This forum is a perfect way to facilitate that two-way communication.”
“This is about bringing government to the people,” said Councilwoman Graves. “By joining with our state partners, we can provide a comprehensive overview of the efforts being made on behalf of our community and most importantly, listen to the priorities of our residents.”

State Representatives Carter and Moore will provide insights into legislation passed during the 2025 legislative session and discuss how new state laws and programs will affect the local community. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, share concerns and provide feedback directly to their representatives.
