House Study Committee on Affordability & Accessibility of Georgia’s Legitimation Process to Hold First Meeting in Atlanta

ATLANTA – The House Study Committee on Affordability & Accessibility of Georgia’s Legitimation Process, chaired by State Representative Carter Barrett (R-Cumming), will hold its first meeting on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 10 a.m. in room 406 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta.

Created by House Resolution 753, this study committee will study whether the legitimation process in Georgia may be improved in a way that yields it more affordable and accessible, particularly for those biological fathers with limited financial resources.
