ATLANTA – The House Economic Development and Tourism Committee, chaired by State Representative Ron Stephens (R-Savannah), will hold a meeting on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at the Jekyll Island Convention Center on Jekyll Island, Georgia.
During the meeting, committee members will discuss Georgia’s regional positioning, evaluate the role and effectiveness of current marketing efforts and consider how additional funding could support statewide tourism initiatives. The committee will receive testimony on these topics from the Jekyll Island Authority, the Council of State Governments, Visit Savannah and the Tourism Leadership Council.
