ATLANTA – State Representative Arlene Beckles (D-Norcross) announces her support for the Khawaja Saeed Charity Golf Tournament, hosted by the Fintech Programs at Kennesaw State University’s (KSU) Coles College of Business. The tournament will take place on August 28, 2026, at 9 a.m. at the Cobblestone Golf Course in Acworth, Ga.
“As someone who has worked in finance, banking and cybersecurity and who now serves on the Technology and Infrastructure Innovation Committee, I understand firsthand how vital it is that Georgia students have access to real opportunities in the fintech field,” said Rep. Beckles. “Fintech is one of the fastest-growing industries in the world, and this tournament directly helps remove financial barriers for the students who will shape its future. I’m also glad to see support flowing to KSU CARE Services because students can’t succeed academically if their basic needs aren’t met.”
Rep. Beckles notes that proceeds will benefit scholarships for students pursuing careers in financial technology, as well as KSU CARE Services, which helps students facing food insecurity, housing instability and emergency financial hardship.
Rep. Beckles further notes that the tournament will bring together alumni, industry partners and community members for a day of golf and networking, with proceeds supporting tuition assistance, workforce readiness programs and emergency student support at KSU.
