ATLANTA – The Joint Election Equipment Specifications and Standards Committee, co-chaired by State Representative Victor Anderson (R-Cornelia) and State Senator Max Burns (R-Sylvania), will hold its second meeting on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 10 a.m. in room 307 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta, Ga.
The joint committee will hear testimony and have discussion related to cybersecurity, accessibility and election administration from election administrators, county officials, accessibility experts, auditors and other stakeholders.
The bipartisan legislative panel was established by Senate Bill 3EX, authored by Sen. Burns, during the 2026 special legislative session to develop recommendations for Georgia’s next uniform election system. The committee is responsible for evaluating specifications and requirements for election equipment utilizing hand-marked paper ballots produced through ballot-on-demand printing.
