Rep. Matt Reeves, Suwanee City Council, DBHDD to Host Gwinnett Mental Health Workshop in Suwanee

ATLANTA – State Representative Matt Reeves (R-Duluth), in partnership with Suwanee City Council Member Linnea Miller and Georgia Department of Behavior Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) Commissioner Kevin Tanner, will host a Gwinnett Mental Health Workshop on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at Suwanee City Hall in Suwanee, Ga.

“Mental health, addiction recovery and developmental disabilities are important needs to be met, and I am grateful for DBHDD coming to Gwinnett County to meet with the public,” said Rep. Reeves.

During the workshop, Rep. Reeves and Council Member Linnea Miller will begin the conversation with opening remarks. Commissioner Tanner will then provide an overview of DBHDD and the state’s efforts to enhance “safety net” behavioral health services, along with updates on legislative and budgetary priorities and workforce development efforts. The workshop will also feature a roundtable discussion with local leaders moderated by DBHDD, followed by a question-and-answer session.

DBHDD will also have a resource table available at the workshop where attendees can learn more about services they may be eligible for.
