ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments named State Representative Valerie Clark (R-Lawrenceville) as the Vice Chairman of the Transportation committee. Rep Clark will also serve as Vice Chairman for the Appropriations Education committee, and has been assigned a member of the Education; Health & Human Services; and Human Relations & Aging committees.
“I am honored to serve on a committee that is so important to our community and to our state,” said Rep. Clark. “Because of the transportation issues we face in our district, it is crucial that our area be represented.”
The House Committee on Assignments, chaired by House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge), is charged with making all House committee assignments for the members of the Georgia House of Representatives.

Representative Valerie Clark represents the citizens of District 101, which includes portions of Gwinnett County. She was elected into the House of Representatives in 2010, and currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Transportation Committee. She also serves on the Appropriations, Education, Health & Human Services, and Human Relations & Aging committees.
