ATLANTA – State Representative Valencia Stovall (D-Lake City) today announced the sponsors for the 2016 Educate Georgia Summit. The two-day summit will take place on January 25–26 at the Georgia State Capitol and invites state officials, educators, parents, business and community leaders to discuss the future of education in Georgia. The summit will feature keynote addresses from Governor Nathan Deal and State School Superintendent Richard Woods during the State of Education Luncheon.
“There is a serious conversation taking place in Georgia right now on how we should move education forward,” said Rep. Stovall. “The goal of this summit is to offer a platform where ideologies can converge, and my office is excited to have a diverse group of partners to help facilitate this conversation.”
