Rep. Mickey Stephens Named Community STAR by Savannah Technical College Foundation

ATLANTA – State Representative Mickey Stephens (D-Savannah) was recently named a 2016 Community STAR, an annual recognition by the Savannah Technical College Foundation to honor those who have made a difference in the community. Rep. Stephens will be honored at the Tribute to Community STARs luncheon on April 1 in Savannah.

“It is an honor to be named to the 2016 Community STAR recipient list,” said Rep. Stephens. “Developing a strong workforce in our region is a priority for me. Thank you to my colleagues in the House, as well as those in our community who have worked alongside me to ensure continued growth, and thank you to the Savannah Technical College Foundation for this recognition.”

The Tribute to Community STARs event began in 2007 to celebrate the achievements and contributions of outstanding members of the community. Proceeds from the event’s sponsorships, tickets, and silent auction go toward the Savannah Technical College Foundation’s mission to support regional workforce development.
