ATLANTA – State Representative Mesha Mainor (D-Atlanta) will hold a press conference to discuss legislation regarding victims’ rights and violent crime rates TODAY, Thursday, January 28, 2021, at 12:15 p.m. (or upon adjournment if later) at the South Wing Steps the State Capitol.
At the press conference, Rep. Mainor will discuss three bills that she recently introduced on Tuesday, Jan. 26, to address victims’ rights and recent rates of violent crimes in Atlanta. She will also address stalking as a gateway crime which may lead to domestic violence and human trafficking. Rep. Mainor will also provide relevant information for victims of such crimes, and she will be joined by community leaders. Other advocates are also invited to participate in the press conference.
