ATLANTA – State Representative Erica Thomas (D-Austell), along with members of the People’s Uprising, will hold a press conference to discuss the Rayshard Brooks case TODAY, Thursday, February 4, 2021, at 1 p.m. at 125 University Ave. (former Wendy’s location) in Atlanta.
Rep. Thomas will discuss Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis’ recent decision to rescue herself in the case against the officer who is accused of killing Rayshard Brooks. State Representative David Dreyer (D-Atlanta); Atlanta City Councilmember Antonio Brown; Tomika Miller; widow of Rayshard Brooks; and Attorney Gerald A. Griggs will also participate to voice their concerns regarding the transfer of the Rayshard Brooks case. Masks will be required to attend.
The People’s Uprising is an organization focused on policy and action-based programmatic initiatives to dismantle systemic oppression that evoke uprisings.
