Statement from Representative Randy Nix Concerning the Appointment of Joe Maltese to Regional Water Council

ATLANTA – Today state Representative Randy Nix (R- LaGrange) released the following statement concerning the appointment of Joe Maltese to the Middle Chattahoochee Regional Water Council:

“When a position became available on the Middle Chattahoochee Regional Water Council I wanted to ensure that LaGrange would get a seat at the table. Fortunately I knew Joe Maltese would be a leader and was eager to join the council. With this in mind, I worked with Speaker Richardson to help secure the appointment. I am confident that he will be able a valuable member of the water council and will represent this area in a way that benefits west Georgia as well as the rest of the state.”

He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2006, and is currently Secretary of the Natural Resources & Environment Committee.
