Rep. Deborah Silcox Highlights State Laws Going into Effect July 1

ATLANTA – State Representative Deborah Silcox (R-Sandy Springs), chair of the House MARTOC Committee, today announces a number of new laws passed during the 2025 legislative session and signed into law by Governor Brian Kemp that will go into effect July 1, 2025. These laws seek to lower taxes and insurance costs, improve classroom learning and enhance public safety.

Rep. Derrick Jackson Hosts 30 Mandela Washington Fellowship Students at State Capitol

ATLANTA – State Representative Derrick Jackson (D-Tyrone) today hosted 30 Mandela Washington Fellows from various African countries at the Georgia State Capitol. The fellows will also be visiting Georgia State University this summer for the Public Management and Leadership Institute.
