ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives’ Committee on Assignments recently named State Representative Mark Newton (R-Augusta) as Chairman of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Higher Education. Furthermore, Rep. Newton applauds the $99.8 million in proposed funding in Governor Kemp’s Amended Fiscal Year 2025 Budget for the design and construction of a healthcare research building at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta.
