ATLANTA – State Representative Regina Lewis-Ward (D-McDonough), along with members of the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus (GLBC), recently introduced House Bill 262, or the “Georgia Racial Equity in Agriculture Act,” which seeks to address racial disparities in farming by promoting equity in distributions of loans, programs, training and other resources to sustain socially disadvantaged farmers.

Rep. Trey Kelley Announces State Funding for Cedartown Sara Hightower Library Renovations
ATLANTA – State Representative Trey Kelley (R-Cedartown) today announced that $575,000 is included in the House’s version of the Fiscal Year 2024 (FY 2024) budget for renovations to the Cedartown Public Library. Yesterday, the Georgia House of Representatives passed House Bill 19, or the FY 2024 budget, and this legislation has now been sent to the Senate for its consideration.
