Rep. Henderson’s Legislation to Encourage Women to Receive Mammograms Signed Into Law

ATLANTA – State Representative Sharon Henderson (D-Covington) today announced that Governor Brian Kemp signed House Bill 937, legislation to help encourage women to receive mammogram exams, into law on Friday, May 6, 2022. Rep. Henderson will also hold a press conference to discuss HB 937 on Monday, May 9, 2022, at 11:30 a.m. at the South Wing Steps of the Georgia State Capitol.

Rep. Cooper Recognizes Tardive Dyskinesia Awareness Week

ATLANTA – State Representative Sharon Cooper (R-Marietta), chair of the House Health and Human Services Committee, seeks to recognize Tardive Dyskinesia (TD) Awareness Week as a part of Mental Health Awareness Month throughout May. During the 2022 legislative session, Chair Cooper introduced House Resolution 856 to recognize May 1 through May 7, 2022, as TD Awareness Week in Georgia to help increase education and raise awareness around the condition.

Rep. Schofield Expresses Her Support for the First Collegiate Esports Festival

ATLANTA – State Representative Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) today expressed her support for the first collegiate esports festival, the Collegiate Esports Commissioner’s Cup (CECC). The CECC will take place from May 6 through May 8, 2022, at the Gateway Center Arena, which is located in Rep. Schofield’s House District 60.
