Rep. Darlene Taylor Attends Final House Rural Development Council Meetings in Americus

Effingham County’s Mars Theatre Awarded Grant Funding to Support Special Art Projects

ATLANTA – The Georgia Department of Economic Development’s Georgia Council for the Arts (GCA) and House Majority Leader Jon Burns (R-Newnington), State Representative Bill Hitchens (R-Rincon) and State Senator Jack Hill (R-Reidsville) recently announced that the Mars Theatre was selected as a Vibrant Communities Grant recipient. Rep. Philip Singleton Pre-Files Student Athlete Protection Act

ATLANTA – State Representative Philip Singleton (R-Sharpsburg) recently pre-filed the Student Athlete Protection Act, legislation which aims to protect the safety and quality of competition in youth sports in Georgia. This legislation would only allow public and government facilities to be used for individual sports that are designated as single sex sports when genetic males and genetic females are required to compete in their biological matching fields.
