ATLANTA— House Bill 933, sponsored by State Representative Alex Atwood (R-Brunswick), was signed into law by Governor Nathan Deal on Thursday, April 24, 2014. HB 933 will make permanent an existing sales tax exemption for aviation parts used to repair and maintain out-of-state airplanes. This exemption was scheduled to automatically expire on July 1, 2015. ATLANTA—State Representative Rick Jasperse (R–Jasper) commented today on Governor Nathan Deal signing into law House Bill 60, otherwise known as The Safe Carry Protection Act. Sponsored by Rep. Gov. Deal Signs Work Based Learning Act Sponsored by Rep. Lumsden

ATLANTA—State Representative Eddie Lumsden (R–Armuchee) commented today on Governor Nathan Deal signing into law House Bill 766, legislation which allows students over the age of 16 to earn course credit for participation in work based learning opportunities. Sponsored by Rep. Lumsden, HB 766 passed the General Assembly with broad, bipartisan support during this year’s legislative session, receiving a vote of 163 to 1 in the House and a vote of 479 to 0 in the Senate.
