Unveiling event will commemorate late Speaker’s 86th birthday

ATLANTA— The Georgia House of Representatives will unveil a portrait of the late Speaker Thomas B. Murphy on Wednesday, March 10th, at 10:00 a.m. in the House chamber of the Georgia State Capitol.  The portrait will be on permanent loan from the Murphy family and the unveiling will commemorate the 86th anniversary of Speaker Murphy’s birth. State Representative Bob Bryant Speaks at Fort Stewart Black History Event

ATLANTA— On Thursday, February 25, 2010, State Representative Bob Bryant (D–Garden City) was the guest speaker at Fort Stewart, Georgia for a Black History Month observance program.  Speaking to the 3rd Infantry Division, Representative Bryant remembered famous African-American military heroes and told the crowd of over 200 soldiers and civilians of his personal experience in the United States Army.
