As of July 1, 2012, nurse’s aides, members of the clergy, and personnel, employees and volunteers at schools, social agencies, hospitals, reproductive health care facilities and pregnancy resource centers have been added to the list of individuals who are required by law to report suspected child abuse. Rep. Carter Appointed to Georgia Children’s Cabinet
ATLANTA – State Representative Amy Carter (R-Valdosta) recently accepted an appointment from Georgia First Lady Sandra Deal to serve on the Georgia Children’s Cabinet. Rep. Lynne Riley to Visit Findley Oaks Elementary School for “Georgia Pre-K Week”

Rep. Buzz Brockway Appointed to Human Trafficking Study Commission
ATLANTA—House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) recently appointed state Representative Buzz Brockway (R-Lawrenceville) as a member of the Joint Human Trafficking Study Commission. This commission is charged with evaluating current law and policies related to human trafficking in Georgia and determining the effectiveness of the state’s efforts to alleviate the crime.
