Rep. Mark Hamilton Receives 2011 Legislative Service Award from ACCG
ATLANTA – State Representative Mark Hamilton (R-Cumming) recently received a 2011 Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG) Legislative Service Award. ACCG chose to honor Rep. Hamilton with the award to recognize his work to secure the passage of House Bill 92, which reduces the duration of Georgia’s in person, early voting period from 45 days to 21 days. New Laws Improving Early Voting for Georgians Will Be Implemented Before Next Election
ATLANTA – The United States Justice Department recently announced its decision to grant preclearance to Georgia’s House Bill 454 and House Bill 92. Introduced in the General Assembly by State Representative Mark Hamilton (R-Cumming), these laws improve Georgia’s in person, no excuse, early voting law and bring the state into compliance with the rules of the national political parties.
