Rep. Carson Announces Distracted Driving Poll Results

ATLANTA – State Representative John Carson (R- Marietta), Chairman of the House Study Committee on Distracted Driving, recently announced the results of a new poll, which shows that nearly two-thirds of Georgia voters favor a hands-free driving law in Georgia. Rep. Tanner Receives 2017 Georgia Transit Association President’s Award

ATLANTA – State Representative Kevin Tanner (R-Dawsonville), Chairman of the House Transportation Committee and of the House Commission on Transit Governance & Funding, recently received the 2017 Georgia Transit Association’s President’s Award: Transit Champion of the Year for his contribution to transit and work with the House Study Commission on Transit Funding and Governance. Rep. Belton Honored at 2017 National Summit on Education Reform

ATLANTA – State Representative Dave Belton (R-Buckhead) was recently honored at the 2017 National Summit on Education Reform in Nashville, Tennessee, for his work on House Bill 139 during the 2017 legislative session of the Georgia General Assembly. Rep. Spencer to Introduce Legislation to Create Study Committee on Converting Closed Hospitals to Veterans Homes

ATLANTA – State Representative Jason Spencer (R-Woodbine) today announced that he will introduce legislation during the 2018 legislative session of the Georgia General Assembly that would create the Joint Study Committee on Converting Closed Hospitals to Veterans Homes.
