Reps. Hitchens and Belton Commend House’s Passage of Military Friendly Legislation

ATLANTA – State Representative Bill Hitchens (R-Rincon), Chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee, and Representative Dave Belton (R-Buckhead), Chairman of the House Military Affairs Working Group, today commended the Georgia House of Representatives for passing a number of military friendly House bills and resolutions during the 2017 legislative session. Rep. Jones Receives 2016 Charlotte Wilen Maternal & Infant Health Advocate of the Year Award

ATLANTA – State Representative Sheila Jones (D-Atlanta) was recently presented with the 2016 Charlotte Wilen Maternal & Infant Health Advocate of the Year Award by the Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition (HMHB) of Georgia. Bill Co-Sponsored by Rep. Meagan Hanson Making MARTA More User-friendly Passes House

ATLANTA – The Georgia House of Representatives recently passed House Bill 506, co-sponsored by State Representative Meagan Hanson (R-Brookhaven). HB 506, which passed overwhelmingly by a vote of 164-2, would allow the MARTA board to consider bids for contracts for concessions through a responsible and competitive process.
