ATLANTA — House Military Affairs Study Committee Chairman Dave Belton (R-Buckhead) recently briefed fellow legislators on the state of Georgia’s military installations at the Carl Vinson Institute of Government’s 30th Biennial Institute for Georgia Legislators on Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, at the University of Georgia. Student Mentored by Rep. Beasley-Teague Wins College Scholarship

ATLANTA – State Representative Sharon Beasley-Teague (D-Red Oak) and the National Foundation for Women Legislators (NFWL) awarded Darcy Farwell a $3,000 college scholarship at the 2016 NFWL Annual Conference in Orlando, Fla. Rep. Beasley-Teague served as the mentoring legislator for Darcy Farwell and presented the award to Farwell at a luncheon on Friday, Nov. 18, 2016, during the conference. Rep. Waites to Re-Introduce Legislation Requiring Firearm Safety Training

ATLANTA – State Representative Keisha Waites (D-Atlanta) recently pre-filed House Bill 11 for the upcoming 2017 legislative session, legislation that would require new Georgia applicants to complete firearms safety training in order to apply for a weapons carry license.
