Chairman Rick Jasperse and Senate Majority Leader Steve Gooch Announce Road Dedication in Honor of Late Speaker David Ralston

ATLANTA – State Representative Rick Jasperse (R-Jasper), chairman of the House Transportation Committee, and Senate Majority Leader Steve Gooch (R-Dahlonega) today announced that Highway 52 in Gilmer County will be dedicated in honor of the late House Speaker David Ralston on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Oakland Community House on Highway 52.

Ahead of the dedication ceremony, Chairman Jasperse and Leader Gooch issued a joint statement:

“The Georgia House and Senate are proud to honor Speaker David Ralston – a great statesman of Georgia – by naming a road traveled many times in his life in his honor. Everyone who travels this corridor in the future will be reminded of his many contributions to Georgia.”
