The Georgia House of Representatives today passed House Resolution 164, commending the Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy Football Team for its record-breaking season and state championship victory. The Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy Football Team maintained the state’s number one ranking in Class A football for all but one week of the 2012 season and went on to win the state championship. After beginning the season with a five-point loss to the Class AAA Washington County Golden Hawks, the Eagle’s Landing Chargers won 13 games in a row. Their offense averaged a state-best 44 points per game, and their defense allowed a state-best seven points per game.
“We are so proud of the Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy Football Team for winning the 2012 state championship. They are an outstanding group of hard working young men, and we are honored to host them at the state capitol today,” added Rep. Rutledge.
