Georgia Legislative Black Caucus Issues Statement on Passing of Sen. Greg Kirk

ATLANTA – The Georgia Legislative Black Caucus (GLBC), chaired by State Representative Karen Bennett (D-Stone Mountain), today issued the following statement on the passing of State Senator Greg Kirk (R-Americus), who served as chairman of the Senate State and Local Governmental Operations Committee:

 

“We are saddened to hear of the passing of Senator Kirk. We pray for his family, friends and constituents who were blessed to have him. His work for disabled and disadvantaged citizens will long be remembered as a testimony of his deep love and commitment to people in the state of Georgia. May his family be comforted during this time by knowing that others care.”

 

Established in 1975, the Georgia Legislative Black Caucus is a 501(c)3 non-profit, nonpartisan organization comprised of 65 Georgia House and Senate members.
