House Media Services Director Appointed to Leadership Role for National Professional Development Organization

ATLANTA – Today, Georgia House of Representatives Media Services Director Betsy Theroux was confirmed as Vice-chair for the Legislative Information and Communications Staff (LINCS) professional development association.

A program of the National Conference of State Legislatures, LINCS is a network of legislative employees that promote improved and effective communications between public information and communications staff and their legislatures, staff and constituents.

“Betsy is a tremendous asset to the House of Representatives,” said Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge). “She performs a valuable public service by facilitating media and public access to the House’s work. I know that the LINCS professional association will benefit from her wealth of experience and expertise.”

LINCS provides legislative communicators with a network of more than 400 professionals from around the country with whom to share ideas and experiences. Its members include communications directors, public information officers, press secretaries, audio technicians, photographers and videographers, civic educators and all those who serve as the external liaisons between the nation’s state legislatures and their constituents.
