ATLANTA— House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) today announced the appointment of Homer Garnto to the Citizens Review Panel for the Heart of Georgia Altamaha special district:
• Homer Garnto, Wrightsville– Garnto is now retired after serving as the Road Superintendent for Johnson County for over nineteen years. He spent two years as an Army Drill Instructor and volunteered for five years on the Scott Volunteer Fire Department. He is married to Glenda Garnto and is the father of one son, Nathan Garnto.
The Transportation Investment Act of 2010 established a Citizens Review Panel for each special district which approved the Special District Transportation Sales and Use Tax. Each Citizens Review Panel is charged with the review of the administration of projects and programs on the approved investment list for its special district.
