ATLANTA-House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) today named State Representative Tom Dickson (R- Cohutta) chairman of the Human Relations and Aging Committee.
“Representative Dickson has been a dependable leader since he joined the Georgia House of Representatives in 2005,” said House Speaker David Ralston. “As vice-chairman of the committee, and now the chairman, I know he will carefully look at the issues affecting some of the most vulnerable among us.”
The Human Relations and Aging Committee reviews legislation that affects the elderly, disabled and those suffering from addiction.
“I am honored Speaker Ralston appointed me chairman of the Human Relations and Aging Committee,” said Representative Dickson. “I look forward to taking on even more responsibility in this new leadership role.”
Representative Dickson will continue to serve on the Appropriations, Economic Development and Tourism, and Education Committees. He will also continue to serve as the secretary of the Regulated Industries Committee.

Representative Tom Dickson represents the citizens of District 6, which includes portions of Catoosa, Murray, and Whitfield Counties. He was elected into the House of Representatives in 2004.
