ATLANTA – State Representative Jay Neal (R-LaFayette) has been appointed by the Georgia Behavioral Health Legislative Caucus (GBHLC) as their new Co-Chairman and House Legislative Host. In these roles, Rep. Neal will assist the GBHLC in their efforts to educate state and local officials about issues concerning Georgians who live with behavioral health disabilities. Rep. Bryant Instrumental in Local Teen Receiving Georgia Military College Scholarship
ATLANTA – Representative Bob Bryant (D-Garden City) will attend a scholarship ceremony honoring Mr. Ausheen Williams TODAY, Friday, June 11, 2010, at 12:00 PM, at Beach High School in Savannah, Georgia. Williams will receive the State Service Scholarship to Georgia Military College in Milledgeville, Georgia. In order to qualify for the State Service Scholarship, the student must be a member of the Georgia Army National Guard, maintain at least a 2.5 GPA, earn an 800 combined SAT score, be nominated by a member of the Georgia General Assembly, and be a legal resident of Georgia. Williams was nominated for the scholarship by Representative Bryant. Continue reading “

ATLANTA – House Speaker David Ralston (R-Blue Ridge) today announced the appointments of Roy Fickling and A.D. Frazier to the newly created Special Council on Tax Reform and Fairness for Georgians.
