Today, I issue a warning to local, state and federal governments: any attempt to restrict or withhold funding from donor cities, counties and states should result in those donor entities (cities, counties and states) denying funding back, equal to ten times the value withheld.

Reps. Saira Draper and Omari Crawford to Host Roundtable Discussion and Press Conference Regarding the CDC

ATLANTA – State Representatives Saira Draper (D-Atlanta) and Omari Crawford (D-Decatur), along with State Representatives Imani Barnes (D-Tucker), Mary Margaret Oliver (D-Decatur) and State Senator Elena Parent (D-Atlanta), will host a roundtable discussion and press conference regarding the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. The roundtable will be held from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. in room 216 of the Georgia State Capitol, followed by the press conference from 12 – 1 p.m. at the South Wing Steps of the Capitol in Atlanta.
