ATLANTA – State Representative Carmen Rice (R-Columbus) was recently nominated by House leadership to participate in GOPAC’s 2025 Class of Emerging Leaders. Rep. Rice was selected to be part of a class of 30 legislators from across the country who were nominated by legislative leadership in their state and have demonstrated promise in positively impacting their state.

Chairman Rick Jasperse and Senate Majority Leader Steve Gooch Announce Road Dedication in Honor of Late Speaker David Ralston

ATLANTA – State Representative Rick Jasperse (R-Jasper), chairman of the House Transportation Committee, and Senate Majority Leader Steve Gooch (R-Dahlonega) today announced that Highway 52 in Gilmer County will be dedicated in honor of the late House Speaker David Ralston on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 11 a.m. at the Oakland Community House on Highway 52.

Rep. Matt Reeves Celebrates Signing of Professional Licensing Overhaul Legislation into Law

ATLANTA – State Representative Matt Reeves (R-Duluth) today applauds Governor Kemp for signing House Bill 579 into law. Rep. Reeves sponsored this legislation to overhaul Georgia’s professional licensing practices and joined Gov. Kemp at the State Capitol today as the bill was signed into law.
