State Legislators Introduce Resolution for Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Day at State Capitol

ATLANTA – State Representatives Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), Rhonda Burnough (D-Riverdale), Sheila Jones (D-Atlanta), Edna Jackson (D-Savannah), Mekyah McQueen (D-Smyrna) and Terry Cummings (D-Mableton) recently introduced House Resolution 401, which recognizes Monday, March 3, 2025, as Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Day, also known as “Delta Day” at the Capitol. Rep. Al Williams Appointed to Rules Subcommittee on Lawsuit Reform, Applauds Committee Passage of Legislation to Allow Cancelation Period for Money Transactions

ATLANTA – State Representative Al Williams (D-Macon) recently was appointed to the Rules Subcommittee on Lawsuit Reform by Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington). Additionally, Rep. Williams applauds the passage of House Bill 576 out of the House Committee on Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, legislation he sponsored that would delay money transactions to allow users to cancel, if needed.

Rep. Lehman Franklin Applauds House Passage of Legislation Protecting Access to IVF

ATLANTA – Yesterday, House Bill 428, sponsored by State Representative Lehman Franklin (R-Statesboro) and a legislative priority for House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington), passed the House with unanimous support. Rep. Franklin commended the House for their efforts in moving the bill forward and looks forward to advancing the bill in the Senate.
