Rep. Will Wade Introduces Legislation Providing Homestead Exemptions for Dawson County Seniors

ATLANTA – State Representative Will Wade (R-Dawsonville) recently introduced House Bill 1422 and House Bill 1423, which would provide homestead exemptions for certain senior citizens from Dawson County ad valorem taxes that are used for county and educational purposes.

Protecting Veterans and Ensuring Fairness in Military Benefits

As a state, as a community and as a nation, we owe an immeasurable debt of gratitude to our veterans and their families. They have sacrificed so much to ensure our safety and protect our freedoms. However, concerns have been raised about the transparency and fairness of services provided to these brave men and women. In response to these concerns, bipartisan sponsors in the Georgia General Assembly, including State Representatives Sandra Scott, Viola Davis, Kim Schofield, and others, introduced House Bill 1323, also known as the “Fair Business Practices Act.”
