Trusting Women: A Call for Reproductive Freedom in Georgia

In the wake of the overturning of Roe v. Wade, Georgia has witnessed a disturbing trend: a near-total abortion ban backed by Republican lawmakers. This assault on women’s reproductive rights is not only unconscionable but poses a significant threat to the lives and well-being of Georgia women.

DeKalb County House Legislative Delegation to Hold Meetings with MARTA Representatives and DeKalb County Commissioners

ATLANTA – DeKalb County House Delegation Chair Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates) and Vice Chair Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), along with members of the DeKalb County House Legislative Delegation, will hold a meeting with representatives from the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority Act (MARTA) on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 12 p.m. in room 514 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building. Additionally, these legislators will meet with DeKalb County Commissioners on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 12 p.m. in room 502 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta.
