ATLANTA – State Representative Houston Gaines (R-Athens) was recently selected by the Council of State Governments (CSG) as a 2023 recipient of its 20 Under 40 Leadership Award. Rep. Gaines was selected for this award – a nationwide award given to 20 elected and appointed officials under the age of 40 from across the country who exemplify leadership skills and have demonstrated a commitment to serving the citizens of their state – because of his leadership and dedication to public service.

Representative Dar’shun Kendrick to Host Public Hearing on Diversity in Georgia’s Private Equity Spaces

ATLANTA – State Representative Dar’shun Kendrick (D–Lithonia) will host a public hearing to discuss the diversity in Georgia’s private equity spaces, as well as her drafted legislation that would allow for more diversified funding under the Invest Georgia Fund on Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 1-3 p.m. in room 216 of the Georgia State Capitol.
