ATLANTA – Today, House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) praised State Representative Butch Parrish (R-Swainsboro), Chairman of the House Rules Committee, for his creation of the Subcommittee of Rules on Lawsuit Reform. This subcommittee is tasked with considering proposed legislation that addresses changes to Georgia’s legal environment—Senate Bill 68 and Senate Bill 69.

Reps. Sandra Scott, Viola Davis and Kim Schofield Issue Statement on the Introduction of the Investing in Every Student Act

City of South Fulton Legislative Delegation Elects Members for 2025-2026 Term, Rep. Debra Bazemore Elected Chair

ATLANTA – State Representative Debra Bazemore (D-South Fulton), along with members of the City of South Fulton Legislative Delegation, recently met to elect its delegation members for the 2025-2026 legislative term. Rep. Carl Gilliard Applauds Committee Passage of the Original 33 Memorial Act

ATLANTA – Today, House Bill 303, the Original 33 Memorial Act, sponsored by State Representative Carl Gilliard (D-Savannah), passed unanimously out of the House State Properties Committee, and Rep. Gilliard commended the committee for their work in advancing his legislation to the House Rules Committee.
