ATLANTA – State Representative Chas Cannon (R-Moultrie) recently participated in the Georgia Legislative Leadership Institute (GLLI) in Athens from August 2 – 6. Rep. Cannon was nominated by Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) to participate this program, which is designed to train rising leaders in the Georgia General Assembly.

Reps. Burnough, Davis, Schofield, Scott Call for Investigation Into Georgia Dept. of Labor

ATLANTA – State Representatives Rhonda Burnough (D-Riverdale), Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), Kim Schofield (D-Atlanta) and Sandra Scott (D-Rex) urge for a criminal investigation following the Georgia Department of Labor’s recent internal audit, which found that more than $105 million in unremitted funds accumulated during the tenure of the previous GDOL administration.

ATLANTA – The Joint Study Committee on Dual Enrollment for Highly Skilled Talent at Younger Ages, co-chaired by State Representative Matt Dubnik (R-Gainesville) and State Senator Matt Brass (R-Newnan), will hold its next meeting on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Central Education Center in Newnan.
