Withdraws Appointment of Rep. Mesha Mainor to Comply with Legislation

ATLANTA – Speaker of the House Jon Burns (R-Newington) announced today that, pursuant to the provisions of Senate Bill 211, he has withdrawn the appointment of Rep. Mesha Mainor (R-Atlanta) to the Georgia Council on Literacy and filled the vacancy by appointing Rep. Al Williams  (D-Midway) to the Council.

Rep. Lynn Smith Hosts Scottish Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra at Georgia State Capitol

ATLANTA – State Representative Lynn Smith (R-Newnan) recently hosted the Ayrshire Fiddle Orchestra at the Georgia State Capitol on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. This trip marks the Scottish orchestra’s fourth visit to Georgia since the signing of its sister city/sister county agreement with Newnan and Coweta County.

ACCG Honors Rep. Brad Thomas With 2023 Legislative Service Award
