ATLANTA – State Representative Alan Powell (R-Hartwell), chairman of the House Regulated Industries Committee, today announced that the Georgia House of Representatives recently passed House Bill 196, legislation which seeks to correct the licensing process for medical cannabis production.
ATLANTA – State Representative Sandra Scott (D-Rex) seeks to update her constituents on House Bill 322, legislation which would prohibit local governments from including outstanding service fees in a resident’s ad valorem tax bill. The House Ways & Means Committee passed the bill on Friday, March 3, 2023, but the legislation was not called for a vote on the House Floor before the “Crossover Day” deadline on Monday, March 6, 2023.
ATLANTA – State Representative Sheila Jones (D-Atlanta) today announced that she has selected Ms. DeBorah Howard McMillian as a recipient of the 2023 Yellow Rose/Nikki T. Randall Servant Leadership Award. Rep. Jones presented Ms. McMillian with the award during a ceremony on Wednesday, March 8, 2023.
