There are moments in a Christian’s life when the pages of the Bible stop feeling like ancient stories and begin to feel like living memory. The first time I set foot in the Holy Land, that is exactly what happened to me. Walking through Bethlehem, I thought about the humble manger where Jesus entered the world. In Nazareth, I reflected on the quiet town where the son of God grew up. And in Jerusalem, every stone seemed to echo the stories I learned as a child sitting in church pews. As a boy, those places were sacred names spoken during Sunday sermons. As a man standing there, they became something deeper—a living testimony to the faith that shaped my life.

Rep. Bethany Ballard Appointed by Speaker Burns to Serve on the Education Committee of CSG South

ATLANTA – State Representative Bethany Ballard (R-Warner Robins) was recently appointed by House Speaker Jon Burns (R-Newington) to serve on the Education Committee of the Council of State Governments Southern Office (CSG South) for a two-year term ending December 31, 2027.

Rep. Mitchell Horner Applauds Unanimous House Passage of Legislation to Strengthen Oversight of State Finances

ATLANTA – State Representative Mitchell Horner (R-Ringgold) applauds the recent unanimous House passage of House Bill 1178, legislation he sponsored that would create the Budget and Fiscal Affairs Oversight Committee of the Georgia House, which would be authorized to request performance audits of any entity that receives state funds.
