DeKalb County House Legislative Delegation to Hold Meetings with DeKalb Board of Education and Decide Dekalb at State Capitol

ATLANTA – DeKalb County House Legislative Delegation Chair Karla Drenner (D-Avondale Estates), Vice Chair Viola Davis (D-Stone Mountain), Secretary Long Tran (D-Dunwoody), along with members of the DeKalb County House Legislative Delegation, will meet with the DeKalb County Board of Education on Monday, March 2, 2026, from 12 – 2 p.m. in room 514 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building and via Zoom. Additionally, these legislators will meet with Decide DeKalb, the county’s economic development authority, on Monday, March 9, 2026, from 12 – 2 p.m. in room 514 of the Coverdell Legislative Office Building in Atlanta.

Rep. Sandra Scott Applauds Committee Passage of Legislation to Prohibit Foreclosures

ATLANTA – State Representative Sandra Scott (D-Rex) applauds the recent committee passage of House Bill 1035, the Georgia Homeownership Protection Act, by the House Ways and Means Committee. Sponsored by Rep. Scott, the legislation would protect owner-occupied homes from foreclosure based solely on unpaid non-tax service charges.
